The streaming platform Netflix has built up a library of hit films and TV shows on their streaming service from Orange Is the New Black to Bojack Horseman. Yet none can argue that Stranger Things had a big role in putting Netflix on the map. Paying homage to '80s films, Stranger Things amazed its audience with a gripping mystery and a loveable cast of characters.

Fans adore watching the citizens of Hawkins as they battle against eldritch beings from the Upside Down. So much so that they can't help but feel inspired to draw some fan art of their favorite show. Although it will take a while for season four to come out, at least we have these ten amazing pieces of Stranger Things fan art to tide us over.

10 The Cartoon Gang

When Stranger Things first premiered, the world was introduced to the adorably precocious band of kids Dustin, Lucas, Mike, and Eleven. In this piece, Kimi-mo has drawn the group in her simplified, cartoony style with each kid doing what they do best.

Eleven stands at the ready to use her powers, Mike is on his walkie-talkie, Lucas has his slingshot ready to fire, and Dustin is on the lookout. The designs feel like they belong in a storybook parents would read to their kids before bedtime. Of course, anyone who has watched the show should know that this is a story that could give kids nightmares.

9 Horror in the Woods

In addition to introducing a cast of adults and children, the first season introduced a terrifying new monster into pop culture: The Demogorgon. The creature lurks in the Upside-Down hunting for new prey.

The artist LukeFitzsimons did a marvelous job capturing the dark, dreary atmosphere of the Upside-Down and the eerie physique of the Demogorgon. Right down to its gaunt figure and menacing, flower-like face. It's no wonder it's burrowed its way into other series.

8 Eleven And The Beast

TheDragonofDoom recreates one of the more harrowing encounters Eleven has with the entity known as the Spider Monster. Serving as the main antagonist of season three, it is a grotesque monstrosity straight out of Akira that manages to surpass the Demogorgon in power and ugliness. The artist really sells the idea that this abomination made of flesh and teeth is an overwhelming threat that dwarfs Eleven and takes up most of the frame.

It gives off a sense of dread suggesting that this might be a force that Eleven can't beat even with her powers. Good thing her friends have her back otherwise the season would have ended on a darker note.

7 Two Best Friends in Pastels

When Steve Harrington was first introduced, he served as the smug boyfriend of Nancy Wheeler. Nowadays, he's treated as an honorary mom and a surrogate older brother to Dustin. It makes sense that Sineadinthecity would dedicate fan art to the unlikely duo and name it "Mom and Dad". Almost as fitting as the title "Babysitter".

A fitting title given how hard these two work to maintain order amid all the chaos in Hawkins. This photorealistic masterpiece is on-point incorporating the smallest of details with subtle shadows and creases on the characters.

6 The Cartoon B Team

If there is one thing Stranger Things is good at, it's pairing up characters into groups that work well off one another. Season two showed that despite appearances, Steven and Dustin make great friends and continued to do so in season three.

It's also in season three that they teamed up with Robin and Erica to explore the underbelly of the Starcourt Mall. CuddlyVeedles has assembled them together in this stunning picture reflecting their personalities perfectly. Now if only the artist could draw the other groups.

5 The Trials of A Mother

There are some tremendous fictional moms, but none have gone through the hell Joyce Byers has been through. She nearly lost her mind when her son went missing relying on blinking Christmas lights as her only sign that Will was alive. AndyFairhurst aptly depicts her struggle in this dazzling piece as part of their contribution to a Stranger Things tribute.

The lights in the foreground and background surrounding her appropriately symbolize how overwhelmed she is by Will's disappearance and the strange phenomena occurring. It's a miracle she didn't go mad by the end of the first season.

4 The All Powerful Child

Fans were blown away by Eleven when she made her debut on the show and for good reason. She's a tragic character forced to endure inhumane experiments intended to weaponize her. For better or worse, they made a weapon out of her and CrystalGrazianoArt managed to encapsulate how threatening such a little girl can be.

On top of her penetrating stare, the faded Demogorgon behind her nicely foreshadows her connection to the creature and how it is always prowling where the characters cannot see it. Of course,  Eleven isn't the only tough woman on the show.

3 Nothing Cuts Like a Mother

As mentioned earlier, Joyce is not a mother to be reckoned with. Determined to find her son, Joyce endures all sorts of craziness that would cause most people to snap. Aquiles-soir proves in this piece of fan art that Joyce is stronger than people think and captures her boldness precisely.

Much like other final girls, she's gone from a terrified victim to an active defender ready to hunt down the creature that took Will away from her. If not for her persistence, Will would have remained in the Upside-Down.

2 Group Shot

One of the reasons that Stranger Things works so well is that it takes time away from the action and frights to let the characters breathe. Sometimes it's easy to forget that a majority of the cast are just kids and Janenonself made sure to remind us that they adorable ones at that.

It's a sweet picture with all of the kids together and even the cute but deadly Dart the Demodog playfully photobombs the group. It's moments like these that made audiences cherish these kids so that when the going gets rough, they root for the characters to make it out in one piece. After all, who would want anything bad to happen to these kids? Apart from Brenner, that is.

1 Ode To Classic Comics

For season three of Stranger ThingsBatmankm went all out jamming as many characters as they could into this mock comic cover. They managed to fit everyone in from Alexei to Murray with everyone placed in their respective groups.

It's fitting Eleven gets center stage given that her power keeping everyone safe while Billy and the Spider Monster loom overhead. They even made great use of the often neglected corner box. Kudos to the artist and let's hope we see more works like this when season four eventually hits.
