Stranger Things 3 Writers Challenge Fans to Find Surprise Easter Egg

It's no secret that Matt and Ross Duffer love pop culture. Their hit Netflix show Stranger Things is a testament to this adoration, featuring episodes infused with subtle nods and references to the nostalgic, retro TV shows and movies that helped shape their youth. However, if you thought everything they wanted to reference was clearly on screen across Stranger Things' three seasons, think again.

As it turns out, there are a number of Easter eggs hidden throughout the show's 25 episodes, with an especially obscure one in Season 3 that the writers challenged fans to find.

Having set the test, the Twitter account for the Stranger Things writers room claimed the first person to find the Easter egg will get a reward before adding a warning: "difficulty: hard."

Naturally, the challenge left countless fans stumped, but one sleuth finally managed to crack the code.
