Batwoman star Javicia Leslie leaves Ryan Wilder behind and makes a shocking transformation into the X-Men's Storm for Halloween.

On Instagram, Leslie shared a reel that begins with the actor walking into the bathroom, before her eyes and arms start to crackle with electricity. A flash of light and smoke then cuts to Leslie suited up as Storm, her costume capturing the mutant's black-and-gold attire and stunning white hair. More electrical effects are shown, making it seem as though Leslie is holding Storm's power within her hands and firing off blasts of lightning.

While Leslie stars in the video, she credited those involved with bringing her Storm to life. The costume's custom hair was done by LaRae Buress while the suit itself was crafted by Reginald and Matthew Reisman. Dion Xu did Leslie's makeup for the video, with Rich LaRu serving as the project's Director of Photography and Roy Sun as Colorist. Alex Perales is responsible for lighting, Erik Griggs for the score and Steadicam OP for VFX, while the two Production Assistants involved include Cherish Michael and Michael J.

The Batwoman Star Is Now an Electrifying Hero and Villain

The actor's Halloween costume arrives after the news that Leslie will portray an electrifying villain for the ninth and final season of The Flash. Leslie was spotted filming on the set of The Flash while wearing a costume inspired by Red Death, an evil speedster from DC Comics that is a combination of Batman and the Flash. Details regarding how the show will adapt the character remain scarce, such as whether the show is swapping out the Bruce Wayne half of Red Death with Leslie's Ryan Wilder, or introducing a variant of the Batwoman altogether.

Will Storm Be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

As for Batwoman, however, Leslie is no longer committed to the show after it was canceled following Season 3, and Marvel Studios may need an actor to play Storm in the future. Though no official plans involving the X-Men have been announced for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, mutants have slowly been making their way into recent MCU projects. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (2022) features Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor X, the Ms. Marvel series establishes Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) as a mutant as opposed to an Inhuman, and Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) asks aloud while breaking the fourth wall in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, "When are we getting the X-Men?"

After her Halloween as Storm, to see Leslie as Red Death in the final season of The Flash, fans will have to wait for 2023 when Season 9 is expected to release. The season does not have an official release date as of writing.
