X-Men favorite Storm is getting a new costume as she officially joins the lineup of heroes in Marvel's X-Men Red #7.

With Jean Grey returned to the land of the living and devoted to a mission of world peace, she's recruited the likes of Nightcrawler and Namor the Sub-Mariner to take on Cassandra Nova. However, there are a few more surprises coming later this year. X-Men Red #4 debuted matching costumes to help protect the team from the threat of nanite Sentinels, and now it appears as if Ororo Munroe will adopt new threads as well.

Written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by Carmen Carnero, X-Men Red #7 sports a cover by Jenny Frison that debuts Storms new costume. It's designed by artist Mahmud Asrar, who showcased hernew look on Twitter. Elsewhere, Taylor himself announced that Storm is officially joining the team with the August issue.

The synopsis for X-Men Red #7 teases that Storm won't necessarily be the focus of the issue, and that Jean Grey's team could be taking a dip underwater:

Attack on Atlantis! One of the X-Men’s greatest foes comes calling on the undersea kingdom, determined to bring about their end!

Storm is doing double-duty, appearing in both X-Men Red and X-Men Gold, and will continue to be a major part of both titles.
