Artist Stjepan Sejic is working on a new Batman project for DC Black Label.Sejic revealed the project, which is currently unnamed, in a tweet. He answered several follow-up questions, revealing the project would be for DC Black Label and that he'd be on for the whole series, which is "3 oversized 60 page issues." Most commenters pointed out that the character looks like a combination of Man-Bat and Batman. The character does also bear a resemblance to Earth-43's Bat-Man, a vampiric version of the Dark Knight.
DC Black Label is the publisher's imprint dedicated to mature readers. The imprint includes Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo's Batman: Damned, Sean Gordon Murphy and Matt Hollingsworth's Batman: White Knight and Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Batman: Last Knight on Earth. Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.'s Superman: Year One will release from the imprint later this year, with Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok's Batman: Three Jokers as well as John Ridley and Alex Dos Diaz's The Other History of the DC Universe announced, though without release dates.
Sejic is a Croatian comic book artist known for his work on Witchblade, Aquaman and a variety of other comics. It's not clear who, if anyone, he'll partner with for this new comic. The release date for Sejic's currently untitled DC Black Label project is unknown.
