Steven and the Crystal Gems are back in the first official trailer and poster for Steven Universe Future, the retitled sixth season of the Cartoon Network animated series.
The trailer kicks off with an ensemble rendition of "Here We Are in the Future," before displaying shots of the fan-favorite cast of characters (and villains). Along with the trailer comes a new poster that reveals the epilogue limited series will debut December 7 on Cartoon Network.
The new season of Steven Universe will take place after the events of Steven Universe: The Movie, featuring an older Steven and the newly renovated Beach City. Of course, Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, and newer Crystal Gem inductees Lapis Lazuli, Peridot, and Bismuth will be along for the ride. The new season will feature Steven trying to ensure peace after saving the universe once again.
Just like the ending of the original Steven Universe theme, the song ends with the protagonists around the campfire at the beach. However, now that scene includes the expanded Crystal Gems roster.
