Japanese actor-singer Win Morisaki will make his Hollywood debut in Steven Spielberg's sci-fi thriller "Ready Player One."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morisaki will play Toshiro Yoshiaki, aka Daito, the righteous Japanese egg hunter who teams up with his brother and partner Shoto in the quest for the precious egg hidden in "OASIS."

The Warner Bros. adaptation of Ernest Cline's sci-fi novel also stars Simon Pegg, Ben Mendelsohn, T.J. Miller, Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke and Mark Rylance. Cline wrote the screenplay himself.

A member of the boy band PrizmaX, the 25-year-old Morisaki has appeared in a handful of Japanese television series, as well as in the films “Sherry” and “Gokusen: The Movie.”

Set in 2044, "Ready Player One" tells the story of teenager Wade Watts, who'd rather escape into the virtual universe "OASIS," a notoriously unbeatable MMPORG game of pop-culture references and puzzles, than be in the real world. That is until Watts solves the first quest, leading other egg hunters to chase after him in hopes to win the game's ultimate treasure.

"Ready Player One" arrives in theaters March 20, 2018.
