Stephen Wacker Promoted to DCU Editor

Official Press Release

Stephen Wacker has been promoted to Editor at DC Comics. His editorial assignments include HAWKMAN, THE LEGION, the upcoming LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES and JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES.

"I couldn't be happier," says Wacker. "This might be the greatest job in the world (other than being centerfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals). I feel like I've been preparing for it since my mom and dad gave me a copy of Superman from the '30s to the '70s back in 1975. Working with some of the best talent in comics makes it exciting just to come into the office everyday."

"Steve's hard work and dedication have helped him make this leap to full editor," says Dan DiDio, DC's VP - Editorial. "He has quickly won respect and appreciation from all the talent he's worked with."

Wacker came to DC Comics from the Associated Press Sports Department in 2000 as an assistant editor, working on titles including JLA, JLA/JSA: VIRTUE AND VICE and AQUAMAN. He was promoted to Associate Editor in 2002.
