Arrow star Stephen Amell shared a message to voters in the United States ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
"I really wish I could vote tomorrow, but I havenât spent enough time in the US to apply for citizenship," Amell tweeted. "Thatâs a roundabout way of saying that if you donât go out and vote tomorrow Iâll pop on an old Green Arrow suit, find you and break at least three of your fingers."
Amell recently made headlines after suffering a back injury while performing a stunt for the upcoming Starz wrestling drama Heels. "Following a medical evaluation, [Amell] is now resting and recovering at home in anticipation of his return to set," Starz confirmed. "Production continues as Stephen recuperates."
This wasn't the first time Amell had been sidetracked from Heels. In fact, the actor just recently resumed production after being diagnosed with the coronavirus (COVID-19). "I have not shot Heels in exactly three weeks today," Amell said on the Oct. 27 episode of Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum. "I head back to work tomorrow. I tested positive for COVID-19. I started to notice something on a Monday but didn't have a ⦠test result. Phoned up the people at CTEH, had them come to my apartment, test me. Came back positive the following Wednesday, got tested again, came back positive again. But, frankly, at that point I didn't need a second positive test because those first couple of days, just really ... they just, they just sucked."
Written by Michael Waldron, Heels stars Stephen Amell, Alison Luff, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Bauer, Allen Maldonado, James Harrison and Mary McCormack. The series has yet to receive a premiere date.
