After months of will they or won't they, it's official: "Arrow" star Stephen Amell will meet Stardust (aka Cody Rhodes) in the middle of a WWE ring Monday night on "RAW." Of course, it remains to be seen whether they'll actually fight or if this is simply the next step toward a big match at the SummerSlam event.

Following a match that saw WWE champion Seth Rollins defeat Neville, the WWE's resident supervillain/wrestler, Stardust lamented the lack of a proper hero for him to face. Asking "Who will be my hero?," the face paint-wearing bad guy mimed a bow-and-arrow action before cackling and leaving the interview.

Amell quickly responded on Twitter and Facebook, stating he'll appear Monday on the WWE's flagship series to confront Stardust.

Ok @StardustWWE -- you asked for it. See you next Monday. #AmellGetsRaw pic.twitter.com/A9v9ReZHa5- Stephen Amell (@amellywood) August 4, 2015

Former WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus swiftly tweeted her support for the television star, offering to give him some pointers.

Stardust has been building a feud with the "Arrow" star since Amell appeared on the May 26 episode of "WWE Raw." Early on, it seemed as if the two were laying the groundwork for a program that would see Amell square off against Stardust at SummerSlam, the WWE's second-biggest pay-per-view event of the year. However, as soon as rumors began to circulate about the proposed match, word got out that it was unlikely to happen.

In recent weeks, however, the SummerSlam match with Amell has looked like it was on once again. While feuding with Neville, Stardust continued to shoot barbs at Amell, making regular references to "green arrows" and superheroes while continuing to volley insults back and forth with the actor on Twitter.

SummerSlam takes place Sunday, Aug. 23, and will be available via Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network. Amell is slated to appear on the August 10 episode of "Monday Night RAW," which airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on USA.
