Spoiler alert for everyone that still has "Arrow's" shocking midseason finale waiting for them on their DVRs. For those of you that have witnessed the pulse-pounding fight between Oliver Queen and Ra's al Ghul, then you know that the final moments of "The Climb" left fans of the show on the edge of their seats while Arrow himself tumbled over the edge of a cliff. League of Assassins leader Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) confronted the heroic vigilante (Stephen Amell) in a mountaintop sword fight that left Arrow mortally wounded and seemingly knocked into oblivion. With the lead character seemingly dead, fans have been scratching their heads wondering how -- or if -- the show will bring Amell's Arrow back to life.
The naturally occurring phenomena have long been associated with al Ghul in the comics, although they have yet to appear in any live-action medium that has adapted the character. The Lazarus Pit has restorative properties that have the ability to heal the wounded and, on occasion, resurrect the dead. Ra's al Ghul's life has been extended for centuries in the comics thanks to the Pit, and it's possible that "Arrow" could use this plot device to restore Queen to life.
Amell has been giving cryptic updates on his Facebook profile since the midseason finale on December 10. The actor previously took to the internet to say, "Despite the title, our show is bigger than any one character. We're going to prove that to you."
"Arrow" returns to the CW on January 21.
