Arrow star Stephen Amell provided viewers with a look at the soundstage that will serve as the wrestling arena in Starz's upcoming Heels.
Found in the social media pages of the drama series about two brothers who are rival wrestlers in small-town Georgia, the clip takes its audience around the ring and throughout the TV set as Amell gleefully points out detail after detail.
"What you're looking at right now... is the coolest set that I have ever been in," gushes Amell, who will play Jack Spade in the show. The older brother of Ace Spade, Jack is a "heel" — an antagonist in the pro wrestling world — while Ace is a protagonist, or "face." The pair do battle in the ring and out as they each struggle for their late father's wrestling promotion while clamoring for national fame.
Snatching the part of Spade in 2019, Amell is no stranger to wrestling, having been a part-time professional wrestler in addition to acting in the films Code 8 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Amell is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow on The CW's Arrow series.
Heels makes its way to the ring Aug. 15 on Starz.
