A picture is worth a thousand words, but Arrow star Stephen Amell is going for both as he says goodbye to the series. On Twitter, the longtime Arrowverse actor posted a photo of a poster signed by the showâs entire cast and crew to commemorate the upcoming series finale. âTuesday,â Amell captioned the image, in reference to the return of "Crisis on Infinite Earths" and the upcoming final episodes of Arrow.
Last March, Amell announced he was ready to âmove onâ from the series. âIâve always been a fan of television shows that, not only donât overstay their welcome, but end in a manner that really packs a punch,â he explained. He said another âlarge partâ of the decision was the fact that he is a father and a husband now. âA lot of my life and interests donât really reside in Vancouver anymore,â Amell added, referring to where the series is filmed.
Amell's character, Oliver Green/Green Arrow, was killed during the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, but is expected to return as the Spectre. His daughter, Mia Smoak, has taken on the mantle of Green Arrow and will be the subject of a spinoff series titled Green Arrow & the Canaries.
Returning Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen. Arrowâs last episode will air Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 9 pm ET/PT.
