A new clip from the Warner Bros. Animation's fast-approaching DC film Reign of the Supermen provides viewers with a quick look at Steel (aka John Henry Irons) in action.
The clip, which was released by IGN, makes it clear that even with Superman gone following 2018's The Death of Superman, the people of Metropolis do still need protection. Take, for instance, the Daily Planet's Jimmy Olsen, who is nearly struck by a bus while crossing the street while carrying several cups of coffee.
Luckily for Jimmy, Steel and his trusty sledgehammer were there to make the save, stopping the bus dead in its tracks. Without a word, an awestruck Jimmy then proceeds to take out his camera and snap as many pictures of one of Metropolis' new Supermen as he possibly can.
John Henry Irons is but one of the four new proverbial Men of Steel who will be taking flight in Reign of the Supermen in an attempt to fill the Superman-shaped hole in Metropolis' heart, the other three being Superboy, the Eradicator and Cyborg Superman.
Directed by Sam Liu, Reign of the Supermen stars Cameron Monaghan, Jerry O’Connell, Cress Williams, Patrick Fabian, Rebecca Romijn, Nathan Fillion, Rainn Wilson, Toks Olagundoye and Nyambi Nyambi. The film will be available on Digital HD on Jan. 15 with a Blu-ray release on Jan. 29.
