As principal photography on Ghostbusters 2020 continues in Alberta, Canada, a familiar face has resurfaced in photos from the eagerly anticipated film's set: the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.

Posted on Instagram by a visiting fan, the behind-the-scenes photos reveal painted ads for Stay-Puft Marshmallows, with its iconic, smiling mascot.

The Marshmallow Man first appeared in the climax to the original 1984 film, conjured by the demonic Gozer from Ghostbuster Ray Stanz's memories to wreak havoc in Manhattan. The fictional mascot was so popular that it reappeared in the Ghostbusters animated series and the 2016 reboot, marching through Times Square where it was encountered by the new team.

While it's unknown if the Marshmallow Man will make his full-fledged return in the sequel, the painted ad is a nice nod to the franchise's history, especially considering the new film reportedly taking place in the same continuity as the original two films.
