The creative team for Milestone Comics' new Static series has been revealed.

Announced in Milestone Returns #0: Infinite Edition, the creative teams behind Milestone's upcoming relaunch have been revealed. Static: Season One will be written by Vita Ayala (Children of the Atom) with layouts by ChrisCross and finishes by Nikolas Draper-Ivey, who previously posted his redesigns of Static and Hotstreak to Twitter, which feature a heavy anime influence.

Khary Randolph will provide cover art for Static: Season One. He previously illustrated the covers DC's short-lived Static Shock series during the New 52. Preview pages from Static: Season One feature Virgil Hawkins punching Francis Stone during a Black Lives Matter protest, and the two engaging in battle when their respective metahuman powers emerge.

The Milestone relaunch was announced during DC FanDome last August, with Milestone Returns #0 being made available to read at the second event. The Infinite Edition features 24 new pages of material and expands upon the "Big Bang" -- the event that led to the rise of metahumans in Dakota City. Instead of being a gang war, in Milestone Returns the Big Bang is now the site of a Black Lives Matter protest, which Virgil attends.

Written by Vita Ayala and illustrated by ChrisCross and Nikolas Draper-Ivey, Static: Season One #1 goes on sale April 12 from DC. Milestone Returns #0: Infinite Edition is available now on participating digital platforms, with the print version available to purchase on May 25.
