Breaking out from the usually air-tight veil of secrecy surrounding director J.J. Abrams' projects, Deadline has word that stars of Indonesian martial-arts hit The Raid will appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The website reports that Raid star Iko Uwais and his co-stars Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman (who appeared in The Raid 2) will appear in some form in the highly anticipated continuation of George Lucas' space saga. Since the gonzo martial arts police film and its sequel stormed international cinemas, the stunt team has been upping its Hollywood bona fides even as an American remake is in the works.

Whatever roles Uwais and company take, be they Darth Maul-style Sith or more subdued Jedi, they will join the known cast of The Force Awakens, which includes franchise veterans Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Warwick Davis, and newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on Dec. 18, 2015.
