Brec Bassinger has seemingly confirmed that a crossover between the DC series Stargirl and Titans is in the works.

After weeks of rumors, Bassinger teased the crossover in an image posted to her social media accounts that showed the actor in her Stargirl costume posing with Titans star Ryan Potter, Stargirl creator Geoff Johns and director Eric Dean Seaton. "Omg, so crazy running into my friends in Toronto. Such a crazy coincidence. CrAzy," she captioned the picture. Stargirl films in Atlanta while production on Titans takes place in Toronto, meaning that Bassinger has no reason to be in Toronto dressed as Stargirl unless she is working on a DC project featuring the character. Warner Bros. has still not officially confirmed a Titans/Stargirl crossover at this time.

Bassinger currently stars as the titular superhero on The CW's Stargirl. The DC superhero series was originally developed as a standalone project but was integrated into the Arrowverse during the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event, which established Stargirl as existing on Earth-2 of the reborn multiverse. This poses a potential problem for the crossover as HBO Max's Titans was confirmed to take place on Earth-9 during the "Crisis" event. At this time, it isn't clear how a crossover between the two shows would work. Some fans have suspected that Bassinger could be playing the Stargirl of Earth-9 while others have posed the opposite, suggesting that Potter could be playing the Earth-2 version of Titans' shapeshifter Gar Logan/Beast Boy on Stargirl.

Fans Campaign for Stargirl Season 4

While the DC fans wait for Warner Bros. to officially announce the crossover, they have also begun to campaign for The CW to renew Stargirl for a fourth season. Bassinger recently thanked Stargirl's fanbase on Twitter after noticing that the hashtag #RenewStargirl was trending on the social media platform. The uncertainty surrounding Stargirl's future comes as The CW winds down the Arrowverse with The Flash's upcoming ninth and final season. Stargirl and Superman and Lois are the only Arrowverse-adjacent series on the network that have not yet had their futures set in stone.
