With the series premiere of Stargirl only weeks away, a new teaser trailer puts the spotlight on the Injustice Society of America, the villainous team that opposed the Justice Society of America.
In the promo, Pat Dugan recounts to his stepdaughter Courtney Whitmore that many members of the JSA fell in battle against the Injustice Society ten years ago. Pressed by Courtney, Pat reveals that the evil ensemble is comprised of Brainwave, Tigress, Wizard, Sportsmaster, Solomon Grundy, Icicle and the masked Dragon King.
Visibly unimpressed, Courtney notes that none of them were apparently good at selecting their costumed alter egos.
With Starman among the victims of the Injustice Society's attack, it's up to Courtney to carry on the legacy of the Cosmic Staff and become her own superhero. However, as revealed in the first set of official stills from the pilot episode, the Injustice Society has a legacy of their own, with Brainwave's teenage son being one of Courtney's classmates at her new high school.
DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl) and Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (S.T.R.I.P.E.). The series will premiere Monday, May 18 on DC Universe and Tuesday, May 19 on The CW.
