Stargirl is currently filming Season 2, and Brec Bassinger took the time to show fans the first photos from the set.
The first photo features Bessinger and Amy Smart, who plays her TV mother Barbara. The second photo is a mirror selfie of Bessinger flashing the peace sign.
For most of Season 1, the relationship between Courtney and Barbara Whitmore was rocky, as Barbara wasn't aware of her daughter's secret life as Stargirl. Furthermore, Courtney was still adjusting to life with Pat Dugan, Barbara's new husband, and his son Mike. However, Barbara played an instrumental part in stopping the Injustice Society of America's plan after discovering Courtney's secret.
Series creator Geoff Johns teased new threats coming in Season 2, and this will include Eclipso and the shadow-wielding Shade, played by Nick Taraby and Jonathan Cake, respectively.
Johns confirmed that Shade is the only active member operating in Blue Valley. Pat will tell Courtney that he's the most powerful of them all, and his murky motivations make him an even greater threat. There will be also more new characters coming in the episodes ahead, but for now they’re being kept secret.

The series will return for Season 2 on The CW.
