Season 1 of Stargirl wasn't light on the peril and death, but Tigress actor Joy Osmanski confirmed that Season 2 will go even further.

Osmanski discussed what to expect when the show returns in an interview with Digital Spy. "I feel like in the second season, shows have an opportunity to go deeper and darker, and I think we're going to see some of that in terms of the evil forces at work," Osmanski said. "In Season 1, Tigress and Sportsmaster are bad guys, but man, compared to some of what's going to happen in Season 2, it's not even close."

In Season 1, Tigress/Paula Brooks was a member of the Injustice Society of America and fought in the battle that killed the original Justice Society of America. She's married to Sportsmaster/Larry Crock and they have a daughter, Artemis Crock, and a new life in Blue Valley, NE. She becomes a gym coach at the school, but when Courtney Whitmore arrives in town and forms a new JSA, Tigress and Sportsmaster fight against the superhero team once again.

"Everything is relative on the show, and I think what we saw with Tigress is that she's completely bloodthirsty when it comes to defending her family," Osmanski continued. :She'll do anything and she doesn't have any moral qualms about shooting the principal in Stargirl's home -- she didn't hesitate."

The violent duo is known to be relentless in their efforts to achieve victory no matter the cost. They killed Coach Hank for benching their daughter during football practice for her violent outburst, and they even killed fellow villain The Fiddler, Anaya Bowin, the principal of Blue Valley High School. They attempted to kill Courtney's family before being stopped by Stargirl and Pat Dugan in his S.T.R.I.P.E. armor. In the Season 1 finale, Tigress and Sportsmaster were once again defeated when they joined other members of the ISA against the JSA in Dragon King's lair, but their story is far from over.

"I think she's going to have to re-establish who she is in Season 2, but it's going to have to be in a different way," Osmanski concluded.
