Stargirl premieres on DC Universe and The CW in less than a month, and the first wave of official stills from the series pilot episode have been released.
The photos reveal Pat Dugan and his wife Barbara moving to a new town with their daughter Courtney Whitmore, who is visibly displeased with starting over at a new high school. The villainous Brainwave, a member of the Injustice Society, and his son Henry King, Jr. are also showcased, with Henry being a classmate of Courtney and her new friends.
Among Courtney's burgeoning friend group is Beth Chapel, Rick Tyler and Yolanda Montez, who will be joining Courtney with superhero personas of their own as the season unfolds to launch a new generation of heroes living up to the Justice Society of America's legacy.
While the photos don't reveal Courtney's Stargirl costume or the Cosmic Staff, a photo of the teenager in a makeshift mask hints at the superhero destiny she will soon adopt as her own.
DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl) and Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (S.T.R.I.P.E.). The series will premiere Monday, May 18 on DC Universe and Tuesday, May 19 on The CW.
