Ahead of Stargirl's premiere on DC Universe and The CW next week, the network has released a new set of official stills from the series' second episode.
Titled "S.T.R.I.P.E." after Pat Dugan's armored alter ego, the photos reveal Courtney Whitmore acclimating to her new high school, while her mother Barbara attends a parent meeting. The meeting is also attended by the villainous Brainwave, whose son is a classmate of Courtney's.
The last set of photos reveal the eponymous, high-powered armor worn by Courtney's stepfather Pat, who barely comes up to the armor's knee when he is outside of it. Pat had previously been Starman's sidekick before his mentor died in a battle with the Injustice Society.
In light of previous promos and the character's brief appearance during "Crisis on Infinite Earths," it looks like Pat is about to reenter the superhero game alongside his stepdaughter as she launches her own superhero legacy as Stargirl.
DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl) and Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (S.T.R.I.P.E.). The series will premiere Monday, May 18 on DC Universe and Tuesday, May 19 on The CW.
