WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "Brainwave Jr.", the latest episode of Stargirl.

In Stargirl's latest episode, Henry King Jr. was killed in a tumultuous confrontation with his father, the supervillain Brainwave. Although actor Jake Austin Walker was sad to see his character go, he isn't about to bring him back anytime soon. Indeed, in an interview with CBR, he revealed the only reason he would return to the show.

"Henry's story, as far as I'm concerned, has come to a close. He is at peace," Walker explained. "Would I love to bring Henry back, as biased as just a fan of the show and a fan of the character and I love playing him? Absolutely! But my thing is, and I've always stood by this, is a good character death can be immediately revoked if they're brought back in a lame way."

"I know [creator] Geoff [Johns] and the team would never do that. They're amazing. If they were gonna bring someone back, they have a huge purpose. But I guess my thing is I wouldn't want to come back unless it was truly deserved," he added.

In other words, Walker believes a character's meaningful death can be spoiled by bringing them back for shock value or some other unsatisfactory reason. Thus, he confirmed he would not return, except under special circumstances. For the moment, he is at peace with the "beautiful arc" that his character got leading up to his death.
