A new teaser for the upcoming DC Universe series Stargirl shows off the new Injustice Society as series protagonist Courtney Whitmore gets her hands on the Cosmic Staff.
As the promo begins, Courtney finds the Cosmic Staff and asks what it is. Her stepfather Pat Dugan then gives her an explanation and warns her that it's "extremely temperamental" (Courtney finds this out for herself when the staff blows up a car).
Soon after, Courtney does battle with Injustice Society member Brainwave, who telekinetically hurls tires at her. Then, after glimpses of Solomon Grundy and the S.T.R.I.P.E. armor, Pat tells Courtney he "never thought there'd be another Starman." Courtney corrects him by saying "Stargirl" as the clip ends.
DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (Stripesy), Joel McHale as Sylvester Pemberton (Starman), Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez (Wildcat), Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel (Dr. Mid-Nite), Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler (Hourman), Joy Osmanski as Ms. Brooks (Tigress), Christopher James Baker as Dr. Henry King (Brainwave), Neil Jackson as Jordan Mahkent (Icicle), Nelson Lee as Dr. Ito (Dragon King) and Neil Hopkins as Lawrence Crock (Sportsmaster). The series premieres Monday, May 18, on DC Universe and Tuesday, May 19, on The CW.
