With Stargirl premiering on DC Universe and The CW next month, the upcoming DCTV series has hinted at the possibility of future crossovers with established television series and characters from DC films.

First introduced in the closing montage of "Crisis on Infinite Earths," which revamped the Arrowverse's multiverse, linking it tothe legacy of DC Comics' adaptations across both film and television, the character and series' creator Geoff Johns hinted that additional crossovers remain a distinct possibility -- eventually.

"The future is wide open in the DC multiverse, so anything can happen between film and TV. Who knows? Because that's what the multiverse is," Johns said in an interview with IGN. "Obviously, right now the main concern is making sure that this show is great, that these characters are great, that they have their own stories and they get the proper screen time and the proper episodes to develop on their own. So hopefully in the future we can do something fun, but the first season is all about making sure that Stargirl is the best show it can possibly be."

While series star Brec Bassinger's dream crossover team-up would be between Courtney Whitmore and Supergirl, the actor revealed that there were actually early discussions to have the teenage superhero appear on an episode of The Flash.

"There have been talks of Stargirl getting to go on an episode of Flash, and having a bigger storyline, but it didn't happen this season," revealed Bassinger. "But I just think that would be the coolest thing. So much of my family has watched Flash for years."

DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), Joel McHale as Sylvester Pemberton (Starman), Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez (Wildcat), Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel (Dr. Mid-Nite), Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler (Hourman), Joy Osmanski as Ms. Brooks (Tigress), Christopher James Baker as Dr. Henry King (Brainwave), Neil Jackson as Jordan Mahkent (Icicle), Nelson Lee as Dr. Ito (Dragon King) and Neil Hopkins as Crock (Sportsmaster).
