Stargirl: The DC Universe Series Debuts Its New Logo

DC Universe's upcoming Stargirl series has a brand-new logo.

The DC Comics-based streaming service has officially revealed the title card for Stargirl -- which features an updated logo. The show's title written out in sleek, metallic cursive, with a star used to dot the "i." The title is superimposed on a blue and white star-themed background, with the DC logo appearing in red.

This new logo is significantly different than the one that was revealed when the series debuted its first key art following its initial announcement back in the summer of 2018 -- which features "Stargirl" written out in bold blue text and accompanied by yellow stars. With the series now nearing its premiere -- which is slated for the second quarter of 2020 -- it seems DC Universe decided a new look was in order.

DC Universe's Stargirl follows Courtney Whitmore (played by Brec Bassinger), a high school student who discovers her stepfather once served as sidekick to the superhero Starman. Courtney becomes the new wielder of Starman's cosmic staff in order to usher in a new era of superheroes as Stargirl. The series will feature multiple other DC characters, including members of the Justice Society of America and the Injustice Society.

Arriving in 2020, DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), Joel McHale as Sylvester Pemberton (Starman), Brian Stapf as Ted Grant (Wildcat), Lou Ferrigno Jr. as Rex Tyler (Hourman) and Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman, with Anjelika Washington, Yvette Monreal and Christopher James Baker as undisclosed DC characters.
