Brec Bassinger, star of DC Universe's upcoming Stargirl series, has revealed a photo featuring new look at the titular character's costume to celebrate National Superhero Day.

The image in question was posted by Bassinger to Instagram and sees her sporting the Stargirl suit and mask while behind the scenes of the new superhero drama. Standing alongside Bassinger is DC Comics' Geoff Johns, Stargirl's co-creator and one of the program's executive producers.

"Happy Superhero Day from someone acting like a superhero and Geoff, a real-life superhero," wrote Bassinger in the post's caption. "I'm so proud of the work we are doing."

The first official look at Bassinger's Stargirl suit was unveiled by DC Universe late last month in a promotional image that shows the hero wielding the Cosmic Staff while her robotic partner in crime from the comic books, S.T.R.I.P.E., looms in the background. This new photo, on the other hand, presents the costume in a more candid manner.
