Stargirl star Brec Bassinger decided to share some behind-the-scenes photos from her fitting to get into costume to play the show's title role.

Bassinger walked her Instagram followers through the fitting process that began after securing the title role. She captioned the images, "The Making of the Super-Suit. 10 plus fittings, body scans, life-cast, concept art, a team full of creative people, the mega-talented LJ Supersuits and about six months of time... It seriously takes a village. So proud I get to wear this thing."

The images broke down the entire process, as Bassinger showed each stage from the Stargirl concept art to the rough fabric fittings. In some photos, a creative team can be seen focusing on tailoring the costume to Bassinger's body.

As the slideshow goes on, one can see the costume coming together in the final stages with completed details, including different fabric samples for the costume. Eventually, the process yielded the Stargirl costume seen in series promotion.  The comics-accurate costume is complete with a belly-baring, star-studded top, blue-and-white biker shorts with red belt, red, white and blue sneaker boots, and blue mask.

DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl) and Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (S.T.R.I.P.E.). The series will premiere Monday, May 18 on DC Universe and Tuesday, May 19 on The CW.
