As principal photography continues on Stargirl, star Brec Bassinger shared a new look at her superhero costume for the upcoming DC Universe original series.
Posted on Bassinger's Instagram, the photo shows the actor celebrating her 20th birthday in-costume in between filming scenes for the live-action series.
Bassinger was cast as superhero Courtney Whitmore this past September, after the series was announced by DC Entertainment at Comic-Con International in San Diego last year. The series received a thirteen-episode order from DC Universe. It is executive produced by Stargirl co-creator Geoff Johns, who also wrote the pilot episode.
By the end of 2018, several members of the Justice Society of America had been cast for the series, including Starman, Hourman, Wildcat and Doctor Mid-Nite. Principal photography on the series began this past March in Marietta, Georgia.
Arriving in 2020, DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), Joel McHale as Sylvester Pemberton (Starman), Brian Stapf as Ted Grant (Wildcat), Lou Ferringo Jr. as Rex Tyler (Hourman) and Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman, with Anjelika Washington, Yvette Monreal and Christopher James Baker as undisclosed DC characters.
