Among the crowded world of tabletop-RPGs, Starfinder stands out by allowing players to explore a world of androids and space travel rather than the traditional high fantasy settings offered by games like Dungeons & Dragons. A sci-fi twist on Pazio's Pathfinder, which itself grew out of D&D 3.5e, Starfinder applies that game's systems and mechanics to a futuristic world, making it perfect for groups looking to explore a different kind of adventure.

However, even for veteran TTRPG players, starting with a new game can be intimidating. Not only are there many rules, mechanics and lore to learn first, but newcomers -- especially Game Masters -- will need books and supplemental materials to prepare. Luckily, Humble Bundle is currently offering several Starfinder bundles that provide a great and affordable way to get started.

Humble is offering four different Starfinder bundles that provide up to $422 worth of mostly digital content for a low price. Each purchase supports the charity Comic Books for Kids! which provides kid-friends comics and coloring books to children in teens in hospitals and cancer centers with the hopes of providing them some joy or escapism from a difficult situation. This bundle is a great way to get started with Starfinder while also supporting a great cause, so let's take a look at each of its options.

12 Item Bundle - $5 Minimum

For just $5, gamers can get 12 different books and supplements, including the Starfinder Core Rulebook, which will be central to starting out. Other items include a Player Character Folio, a 16-page PDF that players can use to build characters and keep track of their adventures, gear, goals and more. This tier also comes with several low-level adventures that are perfect for newcomers, including the first part of the Dawn of Flame Adventure Path. It also includes four flip maps to use at the table.

25 Item Bundle - $15 Minimum

The next tier includes everything from the previous level alongside even more content. The biggest addition here is the Alien Archive, which adds over 80 creatures for players to encounter on their journeys, 20 playable races, new items and tools to help GMs create NPC creatures. It also includes a GM Screen, more adventures and scenarios (including the second and third parts of Dawn of Flame) and five more flip mats.

36 Item Bundle - $30 Minimum

Those who want as much digital content as possible will want to go with this tier. In addition to all of the books, adventures and more from the previous tiers, this includes the Beginner Box, which contains everything a player or GM needs to start out including a 96-page Heroes' Handbook that contains a solo adventure perfect for learning the rules on your own, 96-page Game Master's Guide, six pre-made character sheets that can be used to quickly start a game or as an example to follow, blank character sheets to make your own and more.

This tier also adds the Pact Worlds sourcebook, which dives deep into Starfinder's setting and the geography, society and history of its 14 worlds. It also adds more character creation options, like new races, archetypes and gadgets, making it a useful book for any player of GM. On top of that, the bundle includes even more adventures, including all six parts of Dawn of Flame, and three more flip maps.

38 Item Bundle - $50 Minimum

This final tier is the only one that includes physical items and while shipping costs vary, it's still a great deal considering just how much content is included in the bundle as a whole. In addition to all of the digital content from the previous tiers, this tier includes a hardcover copy of the Pact World sourcebook and a physical edition of the Beginner Box that also has things like a reusable flip map and a set of seven polyhedral dice.

This final bundle is easily the best for those looking to play Starfinder in person or collectors who prefer to own physical copies. No matter which you go with, though, there is more than enough included on each tier to get newcomers started with this great TTRPG.

Humble's Starfinder Bundle is available now until August 19. A review copy was provided by the publisher.
