Iconic indie game Stardew Valley seems to be a source of never-ending fun. With each new update to look forward to and a healthy modding community, it's no wonder fans fall back on this comfortable farming simulator. Many people play games for fun, but others play it for rewards; in other words, not all gamers are of the causal sort. In addition to new characters, new crops, and a whole new island, the 1.5 update introduced a new challenge -- the "perfection system."

This system challenges players to 100% complete the game, and it gives them a few requirements to do it. Players can see how far along they are to perfecting the game with the "Perfection Tracker." The Perfection Tracker is found in Qi's Walnut Room on Ginger Island. This room can be opened up once the player has found 100 Golden Walnuts.

How Do You 100% Complete Stardew Valley?

Some of the things needed for a perfect game are things that players might complete of their own accord. Reaching level 10 in every skill is something that almost all players will reach eventually. And reaching the maximum heart level with each villager is a common goal among even the most casual players. There are a total of 130 Golden Walnuts that the player has to find, and if they opened the Walnut Room, they are almost done with this task, too.

On the other end of the spectrum, some of the tasks are fairly easy to complete, but long-term players may not have had a reason to get around to them yet. Fans who have played Stardew Valley for years may already have all the items to finish off these next tasks. Shipping one of every crop and foraged item can be easily checked off the list, and players also have to cook every recipe, craft every item, find all of the star drops and catch every fish (including legendaries). With all the mining that has to be done to complete that, players are probably already on their way to completing all the monster eradication goals that the Adventure's Guild gives them.

There are a few more difficult tasks on this list. Players must have all four obelisks on their farm. The wizard can build the Earth, Water, Desert and Island obelisks after getting his magic ink. While these Obelisks might be well known to long-term players, they are still very expensive and hard to come by (the cheapest is 500,000g!). But if players think those are expensive, they will be shocked to hear the price of the Gold Clock that is needed for a perfect game. This clock, which is also purchased from the wizard after the Goblin Problem quest, costs a whopping 10,000,000g.

In short, a perfect game requires players to ship one of every grown crop and item foraged, catch every fish, cook every recipe, craft every item, reach the last level in every skill, find all of the Golden Walnuts and stardrops, have every villager love you, complete the Monster eradication goals, build all four obelisks and lastly build the golden clock! That doesn't sound too hard, does it?

Should You 100% Complete Stardew Valley?

So is Stardew Valley worth completing? Absolutely! Getting a perfect game will grant the player a few special things. Players with a perfect game will be able to get to the summit above the train station and enjoy a special cutscene. After accessing the summit, they can receive the Statue of True Perfection from the Walnut Room on Ginger Island. Most importantly, these players get golden chickens that lay golden eggs.

All gamers are different. Some want to play a game for the story, while others like to strive for achievements. A game like Stardew Valley can be played even after it is completed, but many fans already take it upon themselves to finish a game to its fullest. Fortunately for those players, Stardew's devs made sure to reward fans for getting everything they can out of a game.
