Both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Star Wars universe have been known for creating some awesome characters over the years, whether that is side characters, heroes, and maybe even most importantly, the villains. The villains, however, have been subject to some criticism from fans for being too formulaic without good motivations.

This is the case with some, but others like Thanos and Loki have proven how to properly construct antagonists. Star Wars, over the years, has also had some pretty good villains which would probably suit the MCU incredibly well and might even be better opposition to the MCU's heroes.

10 Boba Fett Would Make The Perfect Bounty Hunting Villain

Boba Fett From Star Wars

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is regarded as one of the best Marvel movies in the entire Infinity saga. The movie broke away from the formulaic Marvel tone and storyline and focused on producing a spy thriller that featured some of the best hand-to-hand combat scenes of all time.

The main villain, of course, was Winter Soldier, who has become a fan-favorite anti-hero of the franchise, and just like him, Boba Fett is also a skilled fighter and killer who would suit the MCU. He seems like the perfect fit for a movie like Captain America: The Winter Soldier or Black Widow where the hero has to track down and stop the smart and engaging killer.

9 General Grievous Would Be A Hard Match For Any Marvel Hero

The MCU is no stranger to having incredibly intelligent machines running around fighting the Avengers, as with Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron, so it would make perfect sense for a villain like General Grievous to show up. While he doesn't have access to the internet like Ultron, Grievous is arguably the better fighter among the two and would prove difficult for any Marvel hero to defeat.

He also fits the bill of a villain created directly or indirectly by Tony Stark, as is the case with many of the MCU's villains like Ultron, Mysterio, Vulture, and maybe even Taskmaster according to some rumors.

8 Kylo Ren Goes On The MCU's Template Anti-Hero Storyline

Kylo Ren with his lightsaber in Star Wars

Some of the best villains created in the MCU have been the complicated ones that either turn evil over time or become a better person over time. The latter has been used multiple times in the MCU with characters like Winter Soldier and Loki, proving that these likable villains-turned-heroes are some of the most popular antagonists in the franchise.

Kylo Ren follows that exact path as he overcomes his inner problems with his father and his manipulative superiors to become the hero that was deep inside of him the whole time. He also possesses incredible lightsaber combat skills and raw Force ability that would make him a force to be reckoned with.

7 Darth Maul Is The Calm, Cool, & Collected Villain Every Franchise Needs

While Darth Maul didn't have the complicated backstory like some other villains, or any real depth beyond his combat scenes, he still managed to make every scene he was in more entertaining. Sometimes you don't need a complicated villain with a story behind them, instead just a ruthless, cold-blooded villain who wants nothing more than to get revenge.

Maul is the epitome of this type of villain and would definitely add some cool and tense fight scenes to whichever movie or tv show he was added to. He would also be the perfect villain to work alongside a bigger threat like Dr. Doom or Thanos and act as the fighter for them.

6 Stormtroopers Could Act As The Cliché Space-Filling Army

Star Wars Finn Stormtrooper

Another criticism of most superhero movies is the common use of a faceless army of robots or aliens or whatever who are just placed in the movie to make the final battle scene even bigger. If this is overused, it can become frustrating, but in big-scale events like Avengers: Endgame, faceless armies are needed to make the fight seem as epic as it really is.

Star Wars' faceless villains are the Stormtroopers, who at some point also have a bit more development than, say, Marvel's Chitauri. The Stormtroopers, although not the big bad fans might think of, would still be a good addition to a big-scale Marvel movie.

5 General Hux Would Give The Best MCU Speeches

General Hux-Kylo Ren-Disrespect superior officers

General Hux is the man in charge of the First Order military, who, just like his predecessor, is so cold-hearted to the point that ordering the destruction of planets that would kill millions of beings, he never seems to hesitate. He also, just as any good villain should, gives some of the best evil speeches seen on the big screen.

Both of these tick the boxes for a Marvel villain. But unlike alien threats like Thanos or Loki, Hux would be perfect as an Earth-based head of an evil organization like HYDRA. In a similar role to Thunderbolt Ross or Alexander Pierce, Hux could be great.

4 Grand Admiral Thrawn Would Also Thrive In The MCU

Grand Admiral Thrawn

As Grand Admiral in the Imperial Navy, the iconic blue-faced villain, Grand Admiral Thrawn is another incredibly intelligent and evil charter from the Star Wars universe. As one of the smartest villains in his franchise, Thrawn doesn't need the physical ability of the likes of Thanos, or the special powers of the likes of Loki, instead his brain makes him a formidable opponent for any Marvel hero.

Just like how Baron Zemo used his masterminding skills to single-handedly destroy the Avengers, Thrawn is capable of planning something just as impactful as this on the Marvel heroes and so would be a big force in the universe.

3 Jabba The Hutt Would Be A Unique But Great Villain

Jabba the Hut from Clone Wars

Jabba the Hutt isn't the typical villain. He doesn't have any powers and isn't really a physical threat to many, but he is still a ruthless crime lord and gangster with one of the biggest crime empires in the galaxy far far away.

Jabba may not be the main villain of a Marvel movie but could be one of the secondary villains purchasing weapons or hiring other villains to do the dirty work for him. In fact, Jabba the Hutt seems like the perfect character to have an appearance in a Guardians of the Galaxy movie as one of the biggest galactic crime lords.

2 Darth Vader Is The Embodiment Of Pure Evil & Would Be Awesome In The MCU

The unforgettable villain has an undeniably terrifying presence with unforgettable theme tunes, like "Binary Sunset" and "Duel of the Fates," and would be a very welcomed villain to the MCU.

Not only is he scary and brutal, but Vader also had an extremely complicated origin story where he turned over to the dark side and has one of the best redemptions arcs of cinema as a whole. The 'I Am Your Father' scene is one of the most well-known scenes of all time and is the perfect proof of why Darth Vader would also be awesome in the MCU.

1 Darth Sidious Would Be The Big Bad Of The Franchise

Darth Sidious with a menacing laugh in Star Wars.

The ultimate villain orchestrating the strings from behind the scenes, Darth Sidious would be perfect as the next big bad for the MCU. Thanos was the perfect example of this type of villain who would stop at nothing to achieve his goal. Just like Thanos, Darth Sidious has a history of using over villains to do the dirty work as part of his master plan.

Sidious is also incredibly powerful, especially with his force lightning, and extremely smart which is the perfect combination for a big bad of an entire franchise like he was for Star Wars, and could also be for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
