Jedi and Sith both possess trademark features, regardless of their level of power. The Knights of the Order adopt a presentable, friendly appearance and give out a heroic vibe. In contrast, the dark-side users stand out with hostility, terrifying outfits, and brutal battle scars.

George Lucas' galaxy has been so vastly expanded through Star Wars: Legends that all kinds of great characters, including Force-users, have inhabited it over the years. Some of them look different, while others have remarkably rare abilities. Here are the ten most unique Force-users who will rekindle every fan's love for the franchise's richness, diversity, and imagination.

10 Thon

Thon was a deeply respected friend to many Jedi.

A member of the secretive Tchuukthai race, Thon had such vast knowledge of the Force that he could use completely new techniques. His beasty, lizard-like appearance made him one of the most memorable Jedi Masters in the Order's history.

Thon was a Jedi Weapon Master and had extensive knowledge in Battle Meditation. The Master was knowledgable enough to use the Force to create light through it. The alien Jedi had a close relationship with Nomi Sunrider, and the pair of them were considered the light side's greatest warriors.

9 N'kata Del Gormo

Yoda had the most unusual teacher.

Everyone knows who Master Yoda is, as well as the vast number of his formidable apprentices, but not many Star Wars devotees are aware of the Master that mentored Yoda. His name is N'kata Del Gormo, and he was a colossal snake-like individual that found the beloved green hero and turned him into the wise Jedi that the galaxy remembered him as.

The wise Master was armed with a gigantic staff decorated with a giant crystal. After Yoda's training had concluded, he traveled to Coruscant, where his legendary career began.

8 Beldorion

Leia has a habit of taking out Hutts.

Jabba the Hut from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) doesn't look like the warrior type one bit, but a member of his slug-like, somewhat revolting species was a mighty Jedi Knight that later turned to the dark side, and his name was Beldorion.

He died in a duel with Leia, and his set of unusual powers included massive Force Storms, Telekinesis, and Force Persuasion, which was strongly supported by his hypnotic stare. The attacks Beldorion performed with his purple-blade lightsaber were unusually, wrist-breakingly powerful.

7 Iron Knights

Arguably, some of the rarest types of Jedi were the so-called Iron Knights. These are members of the Shards species - crystals with a brain of their own. They were Force-sensitive and all trained under the tutelage of Jedi Master Aqinos.

The Shards had droid bodies, similar to that of General Grievous. However, unlike the Droid General of the Clone Wars, they were fully capable of using the Force. The Iron Knights formed the first line of defense against the Yuuzhan Vong War, in which Luke Skywalker led the New Republic.

6 Ooroo

Ooroo's tragic death

Fascinating and unnerving in equal measure, Ooroo was a Jedi Master who instructed Jedi apprentices for a considerable time. The appearance of his species - Celegians, is reminiscent of that of a brain with octopus tentacles.

Ooroo specialized in the Force sense ability, which allowed him to expand the reach of his senses through all living beings in his surrounding area. Ooroo's race was incredibly rare not just for the Jedi Order, but for the galaxy as a whole. The members of the species could communicate with each other via telepathy.

Kazdan Paratus fought for the Republic during the Clone Wars. What allowed him to stand out when compared to the thousands of Jedi that served the galaxy as part of the Jedi order was his additional robotic rig attached to the Knight's back.

It allowed him to quickly move across walls and other uncomfortable terrains in any direction. His weapon of choice was a lightsaber pike. Kazdan's higher number of limbs allowed him to fight in extraordinarily creative and unpredictable ways. He fell under the blade of Starkiller himself.

4 Oppo Rancisis

Oppo Rancisis was a respected member of the Jedi Council.

A Jedi Knight that was popular not just for his skills with the Force but also for his strategic and tactical prowess, Oppo Rancisis had an extremely distinctive appearance that stood out with overwhelming amounts of facial hair elongated fingers.

The Jedi was unusually skilled in unarmed combat. One of his most specific and rarest skills was called Malacia, which allowed the Knight to disturb the opponent's internal organs and incapacitate him for a limited but sufficient amount of time.

3 Fay

Fey using her powers for good, as always.

In her own way, Fay was more powerful than any other Jedi in history. Her connection with the Force was so immense that it allowed her to keep a youthful appearance forever.

The unique Knight abandoned the Order and wandered the Galaxy being guided by the mystical power and resolving many conflicts, bringing peace to countless worlds. Obi-Wan Kenobi was one of the more popular Jedi that she interacted with while working on a cure that would negate a deadly weapon's effects.

2 An'ya Kuro

An'ya Kuro, a.k.a The Dark Woman lived up to her enigmatic alias.

Also known as The Dark Woman, An'ya Kuro famously gave up her identity in order to fully devote her life to the Force. Her unparalleled link to the mystical power allowed her to unlock quite rare Force abilities. Kuro was capable of controlling all plants and their matter.

Additionally, she could bend the light surrounding her, rendering herself invisible. Her mastery also allowed her to pass through solid objects, and she could even go as far as teleporting from one place to another.

1 Knol Ven'nari

Knol Ven'nari's Jedi path didn't end with her death.

This remarkable Bothan's most spectacular asset was her ability to manipulate fire through the Force. Raised to a Master's rank because of her singular gifts, Knol Ven'nari also earned the imposing nickname "Fire Eater."

The female Jedi also practiced Force Flight regularly - yet another power which a considerable number of Jedi struggled with. Her successful career ended at the hands of Asajj Ventress and the mighty warrior Durge.
