Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Banner Offers New Look at Kylo Ren's Mask

A marquee from the 2019 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, NV has revealed our first official look at Kylo Ren's newly repaired helmet from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

The helmet, of course, was destroyed by Kylo Ren in a fit of rage after he was belittled by Supreme Leader Snoke in The Last Jedi. However, in the Episode IX teaser trailer, a pair of furry hands could be seen repairing it, which explains the red cracks seen in the image below.

Over the course of the sequel trilogy, Kylo Ren's character arc has brought him from petulant villain to what many fans feel is an inevitable road to redemption, a la Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. However, by reclaiming his mask -- an obvious homage to his grandfather's Sith persona -- it stands to reason that the new Supreme Leader of the First Order is beyond saving.
