Footage revealed at D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, showed Rey in a dark hood and wielding a red double-bladed lightsaber, reminiscent of the one Darth Maul used in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. As red is typically the color employed by Sith and other Dark Side users, this might indicate Rey will take a turn for the worse in the film, though that's unconfirmed at this time.
