Earlier this week, Disney released the first trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2. The trailer focused on Din Djarin and his mission to deliver the Child to the Jedi, with Moff Gideon's Imperial forces and other foes in pursuit. What's more, the trailer revealed Cara Dune and Greef Karga will once again join forces with the title character -- but they may not be the only familiar faces returning. For some time now, fans have theorized bounty hunter Boba Fett will make his long-awaited return in The Mandalorian. And according to a new theory, the character's armor can actually be spotted in the Season 2 trailer.RELATED: Star Wars Theory: The Mandalorian's Ship Isn't ACTUALLY Named Razor CrestOn Twitter, a fan posted a shot from the Season 2 trailer featuring Din Djarin riding a speeder bike. The still features equipment that looks an awful lot like the armor Boba Fett wore in the Original Trilogy. In fact, the fan highlights the details of what could be the bounty hunter's jetpack, as well as his iconic helmet.

For the time being, this remains just a theory, given that the screenshot doesn't offer a proper, clear look at whatever equipment is attached to the back of the speeder bike. But it's definitely possible that Din has Boba Fett's armor. The shot of Mando on the speeder bike appears to be taken on a desert planet. While it's not clear just what planet this is, Tatooine is a distinct possibility. After all, the trailer showed the return of the desert planet's Tusken Raiders.

Additionally, Din Djarin previously visited Tatooine in the Season 1 episode "The Gunslinger," which means a return could always be in order in Season 2. "The Gunslinger" ended with mysterious cloaked figure finding the body of Fennec Shand in the desert. The identity of the character was never revealed, but theories claim it's Boba Fett.

Considering Boba Fett was last seen falling into a Sarlacc Pit on Tatooine in Return of the Jedi, there's a chance he's still on the planet. Plus, Temuera Morrison is reportedly appearing as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season 2. While Disney never confirmed the casting, a lot of clues indicate the bounty hunter will return. Therefore, if Din returns to Tatooine, he could easily encounter the fan-favorite bounty hunter.

As for why Din would abscond with Fett's armor, well, that may be because Boba Fett was never a real Mandalorian. His armor was stolen, which means Din could reclaim it in the name of his people. And this, in turn, could pit the Mandalorian and the Boba Fett against one another in an epic battle.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Taika Waititi and Emily Swallow. Season 1 is available now on Disney+, with Season 2 premiering Oct. 30.
