Despite reports suggesting that Star Wars: The Last Jedi tickets would be going on sale after the new trailer premieres tonight during ESPN's Monday Night Football halftime segment, it would appear they are already available for purchase.
Cinemagoers can now buy tickets for Rian Johnson's December blockbuster online via sites like Fandango in anticipation of the follow-up to J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With a brand new poster also released today, placing the Skywalkers front and center at what appears to be a story hinging on the Dark Side, avid fans will be eager to see how Johnson continues Abrams' story with Rey training on the desolate planet Ahch-To.
Disney has already dropped teasers as to Rey's tutelage under Luke Skywalker, who himself appears disenchanted with the Jedi Order. In this sequel, Supreme Leader Snoke, Kylo Ren and the First Order will be striking back against General Leia and the New Republic on D'Qar following the destruction of the Starkiller Base in the 2015 prequel.
Debuting in theaters on Dec. 15, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a production of Lucasfilm Ltd. directed by Rian Johnson and starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro.
