Even though Star Wars: The Last Jedi answered many of the lingering questions from its predecessor, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, that doesn't mean the results matched fan expectations.

Also, if you were looking forward to the big reveals of Snoke's origin and Rey's parents, you're out of luck as The Last Jedi tosses out the majority of the things The Force Awakens set up. Coincidentally, the pitch meeting also gave birth to the phrase, "Let the past die. Kill it if you have to."
