WATCH: What Went Wrong in The Last Jedi Pitching Meeting

WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, in theaters now.

Even though Star Wars: The Last Jedi answered many of the lingering questions from its predecessor, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, that doesn't mean the results matched fan expectations.

Now you can watch how all those big decisions were made, from Rey's parentage to the inclusion of the adorable Porgs, with a look at The Last Jedi pitch meeting from Screen Rant.

Ryan George stars in, "What Went Wrong At The Last Jedi Pitch Meeting," featuring a back and forth discussion with himself as he explains some of the finer details of the sequel. For example, Supreme Leader Snoke's visual look is described as, "Hugh Hefner fell face-first down an elevator shaft."

Also, if you were looking forward to the big reveals of Snoke's origin and Rey's parents, you're out of luck as The Last Jedi tosses out the majority of the things The Force Awakens set up. Coincidentally, the pitch meeting also gave birth to the phrase, "Let the past die. Kill it if you have to."
