Unless you've been stuck in a galaxy far, far away and not in tune with the Jedi news, you might have heard of the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But before the upcoming December release, there was Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
The film was full of tension between Kylo Ren and Rey, with some of the best scenes in the movie featuring both characters as they navigated their interesting, yet complicated connection.
Now, the Star Wars Twitter account has released a poster that immortalizes Rey and Kylo Ren's action-packed throne room battle. The caption reads: "'And now, foolish child, he ignites it, and kills his true enemy.' Praetorian guards attack in this stunning new Star Wars: #TheLastJedi poster from Mondo, titled 'True Enemy.'”
The artwork by Rory Kurtz features Rey and Kylo Ren in the middle of the epic battle as they fight the blood-red, armor-dressed Praetorian guards with their respective lightsabers, making it a gorgeous spectacle of an essential scene in The Last Jedi.
Directed by Rian Johnson, the movie follows a turning point in Luke Skywalker's peaceful and solitary existence, as it gets upended when he encounters Rey, who shows strong signs of the Force. Her desire to learn the ways of the Jedi forces Luke to make a decision that changes their lives forever. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren and General Hux lead the First Order in an all-out assault against Leia and the Resistance for supremacy of the galaxy.
