Ahead of the premiere of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 on Disney+ next week, the official Star Wars YouTube Channel has shared a new promo heralding the long-awaited full debut of Clone Force 99.

The promo opens with the Grand Army of the Republic in a dire situation. Jedi Master Mace Windu explains, "We have more than a dozen active battlefronts and we are losing nearly every one." It is at this point the clone trooper officer known as Commander Cody suggests taking a small squad behind enemy lines to gather intel. When asked which squad will be joining them on the mission, Cody responds, "Clone Force 99."

Clone Force 99 is a clone commando squad led by Clone Sergeant Hunter. The group is known for their "desirable" genetic mutations, unorthodox fighting style and generally zealous attitude, all of which has earned them the nickname "The Bad Batch" -- which also happens to be the title of Clone Wars Season 7's premiere episode.

Clone Force 99 has yet to appear in a finished episode of Clone Wars, with Season 7's "The Bad Batch" set to serve as their first. However, "Squad 99" has appeared in numerous unfinished episodes, the entirety of which will apparently finally see the light of day when the long-awaited final season hits Disney+.
