Star Wars has found a second life on Disney+, as its live-action and animated output is more highly regarded than the Disney films. Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi took the popular animation style of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and used it to present two sets of shorts focusing on Count Dooku and Ahsoka Tano. They've proven quite popular with fans, shining light on Dooku's Sith origins and untold stories of Tano.

10 The Grand Inquisitor's Jedi Past Would Be Great To Expand Upon

The grand inquisitor and his lightsaber

Star Wars is full of powerful characters. The Emperor and Darth Vader are two of these, but they needed help with the many Force users throughout the galaxy. That's where the Inquisitorius came in. These former Jedi hunted down their peers and either turned then to the dark side or killed them. Made up of "Brothers" and "Sisters," the Inquisitorius were led by the Grand Inquisitor.

Star Wars fans know very little about the Grand Inquisitor other than his status as Jedi Temple guard. His real name hasn't even been revealed yet. Digging more into his prior life as a Jedi is exactly what TotJ is for, and the Grand Inquisitor was tailor-made for it. He has a lot of potential, and TotJ is a perfect place to explore it.

9 Expanding On Barriss Offee Can Show Her Radicalization

Barriss Offee with two red lightsabers in Star Wars The Clone Wars

Barriss Offee was Luminara Unduli's Padawan who eventually turned against the Jedi, the Clone Wars breaking her faith in them. That's a very interesting story, and fans didn't really get too much of it in The Clone Wars. It's a story that Legends fans have seen before, but Disney's LucasFilms hasn't touched it, meaning that many Star Wars lovers have never experienced Ofee's tale.

Tales of the Jedi is the perfect way to tell this story. It would be great to see the evolution of Barriss Offee and why she turned her back on the Jedi Order. The Clone Wars has been shown as being hard on everyone, but seeing it break a Jedi and watching Offee give into her despair would be great story fodder for the show.

8 The Story Of Quinlan Vos Has Gone Unexplored

Quinlan Vos in fight mode in Star Wars The Clone Wars

Quinlan Vos was first created in the pre-Disney Star Wars years, starring in the old Star Wars: Republic comics. Vos made his first canon appearances in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but hasn't really appeared too much yet. Longtime fans know Vos very well from Legends, but seeing more about the canon version of the character would be great.

Tales of the Jedi could give Quinlan Vos fans a look into the canon version of the character. Vos was a very interesting Jedi in Legends, posing as an infiltrator into Dooku's circle. This didn't happen in canon, so it would be cool to see who Vos is now and what he did in the Clone Wars.

7 Aayla Secura Is Beloved But Hasn't Gotten A Lot Of Canon Attention

Aayla Secura holds her blue lightsaber during a battle in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

Star Wars has often been heartbreaking, with the deaths of the Jedi in Revenge Of The Sith being one of the sadder moments. Of all the Jedi deaths shown, Aayla Secura's felt the saddest, as she was blasted by her entire squad from behind. Secura was a bit popular in Legends, starring in comics and having a fan following, and seeing her killed in such a callous manner was a shock.

Aayla Secura's popularity in Legends hasn't really got her much play in canon. Tales of the Jedi can change that. Episodes about her would pull in her older fans and present the character to a new audience. Secura is a character that deserves more spotlight.

6 Qui-Gon Jinn Is A Fan Favorite

Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace

The Star Wars Prequels were fraught with peril, something Qui-Gon Jinn learned firsthand. Liam Neeson's Jedi Master has always been beloved, but he's gotten very little attention outside The Phantom Menace. Legends fleshed out a lot of characters, but Jinn never really got his spotlight in a novel, although he did get some comic appearances.

Qui-Gon Jinn is a very important character in Star Wars lore. He was trained by Dooku, trained Obi-Wan, and was the first Jedi to come back from the netherworld of the Force. He was known for being a rebel in the Order, and TotJ could show more of that. Fleshing out Qui-Gon Jinn would make a lot of fans happy.

5 Ki-Adi-Mundi Is A Striking Jedi Council Member

Ki Adi Mundi on the battlefield in Star Wars

Tales of the Jedi is peak Star Wars in a lot of ways. It found ways to combine action and character building in a way even the movies, especially later ones, struggled with. Take Ki-Adi-Mundi, for example. The big-headed Cerean Jedi was a striking visual on the Jedi Council, but he was paper thin as a character.

TotJ can fix that. Even in the Legends years, Mundi's backstory wasn't well-known and subject to change. Putting it in the canon would set it in stone, as it were, and allow fans to get to know a member of the Jedi Council that they know little about.

4 Yoda Has Nine Hundred Years Of Tales

Yoda's Secret War

The Star Wars Saga doesn't really cover a lot of time in canon, with the recent High Republic era being the farthest back the stories go. Legends had a much longer history, stretching thousands of years into the past and over a century into the future. Canon works, especially TV and movies, like to focus on characters and events that fans know, which is where Yoda comes in.

Yoda lived for nine hundred years. That's further into the past than the High Republic era and why putting Yoda in Tales of the Jedi is perfect. Fans could glimpse into the Jedi of almost a millennium ago and could see the changes to Yoda and the Jedi Order through the cartoon.

3 Rey Skywalker Is A Perfect Choice

The Sequel Trilogy has been highly divisive, but that's no reason to stay away from it. Fans want to know about the future of the Star Wars Universe, and the only way to do that is by going back to the characters of the Sequels. Tales of the Jedi can bring fans back to this time period, and Rey is the perfect - and only - choice for it.

Rey having Jedi adventures after Rise Of Skywalker, searching for new Jedi candidates, training Finn, and helping the Republic re-establish itself would be a great way to expand on this time period. Rey has a lot of fans, and getting to see her as the Jedi of the future would be great.

2 Fans Could Finally See Why Mace Windu Was The Baddest Jedi

Mace Windu holding his lightsaber in Tales of the Jedi.

Mace Windu has the coolest lightsaber in the Star Wars Universe. His purple-bladed saber made him unique among the other Jedi, and he was played by Samuel L. Jackson, giving him automatic cool points with fans. Windu starred in one novel during the Legends era, Shatterpoint, but has had very little canon spotlight.

Tales of the Jedi could give Mace Windu the spotlight he deserves. Windu's history as a Jedi Knight is basically unknown, so fleshing that out would be wonderful. Seeing him grow into the Jedi Master he is during the Clone Wars is something fans have always wanted, and there are many places to take that story. TotJ could give fans something they've wanted for years.

1 Luke Skywalker Has Decades Of Tales To Tell

Luke Skywalker before his death, Star Wars

The Last Jedi is a unique Star Wars film and is also the end of Luke Skywalker's story. His death was the ultimate Jedi moment, sacrificing himself to keep the Resistance alive and showing just how powerful he was. However, just because Luke died doesn't mean there aren't more Luke Skywalker stories to be told.

Tales of the Jedi could flesh out Luke Skywalker's adventures post-Return of the Jedi. There must have been a lot of work for a Jedi to do in the years between the Original Trilogy and the Sequel Trilogy, keeping Luke quite busy. Fans have been clamoring for more from this time period and TotJ could give them that.
