A Christmas gift given to Lucasfilm employees could tease a major future Star Wars project.

Images of the gift -- a portable Lucasfilm-branded record player -- have surfaced on Imgur, but perhaps most notable is the box it comes in. On one side of the box are the logos for four upcoming Lucasfilm projects: Indiana Jones 5The Book of Boba FettAndor and Obi-Wan Kenobi. On the other side are four additional logos: WillowStar Wars: The Bad BatchTales of the Jedi and Star Wars: Visions.

Tales of the Jedi was a comic book series published by Dark Horse in the 1990s. Now part of the non-canon Legends banner (formerly the Expanded Universe), it consisted of several distinct chapters -- Knights of the Old RepublicThe Freedon Nadd UprisingDark Lords of the SithThe Sith WarThe Golden Age of the SithThe Fall of the Sith Empire and Redemption -- all set thousands of years before the original trilogy. The comics were famous for exploring the Great Hyperspace War and the Great Sith War, while also introducing such characters as Ulic Qel-Droma, Nomi Sunrider, Odan-Urr, Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun and Naga Sadow.

The Knights of the Old Republic title used in Tales of the Jedi also helped pave the way for the fan-favorite 2003 BioWare/LucasArts video game of the same name, as well as its 2004 sequel. The first game actually takes place about three decades after Redemption and includes several callbacks to the comics. This is particularly noteworthy because, if a Tales of the Jedi project is actually in development, it would lend credence to recent rumors about the fabled Knights of the Old Republic film.

Elsewhere on the Old Republic front, Star Wars fans can look forward to the long-awaited KOTOR remake from Sony Interactive Entertainment, Lucasfilm Games and Aspyr Media, which is currently still in the early stages of development. The game marks the earliest point in the Star Wars timeline to be explored in the new canon that was established by Disney, and if a Tales of the Jedi project also crops up, it won't be alone.
