While there are certainly more than a few examples of Jedi in the Star Wars universe that can be considered weak and unimpactful by some fans, that is not the case with the galaxy's Sith. The red-lightsaber-wielding warriors that feed off their passions to use destructive powers and disrupt the balance in the Force are almost always powerful, intimidating and charismatic in one way or another.

Fan artists have worked hard to create Sith characters of their own, depicting them in masterfully designed pieces of digital art. Here are the 10 best pieces of fan art portraying original Sith that are good enough to make us want to see movies, in which they are the main antagonists.

10 Enigmasystem

A beauty and a beast in equal measure, Enigmasystem's Sith warrior features some very feminine elements - a corset-like armor, hair and hood decorations. That, however, doesn't take away from her ferociousness. She might be young but the deadly glimmer of the red eyes, the torn-up cloak, indicating her experience in battle and the bold choice of weaponry - two lightsabers makes the Force-user as menacing as she is vulnerable.  This is a Sith to fear and feel for at the same time, just like Asajj Ventress - not unique to Star Wars but quite rare nonetheless.

9 Daniel Martin

A mysterious, almost wizardly Sith Master is the creation of Daniel Martin. The armor ornaments are reminiscent of samurai armament decorations. This dark lord seems to be fully ready to strike down his enemies in lightsaber combat but he is also clearly quite adept in various devastating uses of the Force, judging by the Force Lightning that he is in the process of summoning from both hands. It is the kind of a Star Wars main-villain that only the most powerful of Jedi can hold their ground against.

8 Danyiart

Darth Maul's sister looks slightly more measured than her savage brother. She might be less protected but her cross-shaped lightsaber weapon is an unmistakable proof of her masterful skills. A weapon this difficult to fight with can only be used by an expert warrior.

Despite her slender figure, Danyiaart's character looks just as malicious. The creepy glow under her hood and the cold hatred of her expression might hint at a warrior that is even more dangerous and one that is determined to correct whatever follies and failures her sibling allowed.

7 Michael Whiteside

Wielding two lightsabers, a highly stylish black costume and a facial mask, terrifying enough to cause nightmares, the alien Sith of Michael Whiteside is a disturbing antagonist. A closer look at the face of the villain can prompt associations with General Grievous. Only, this warrior is not disabled in any way and in all likelihood - he has no trouble using the Force whatsoever. Much more wisdom and skill seem to be hiding behind that skull-shaped mask and the chilling glow of the red eyes can instill horror in the heart of any member of the Jedi Order.

6 Airagitt

Tragedy and dread fill the stunning piece of Airagitt that depicts a merciless Sith that is about to perform a deadly jump slash. The athletic warrior is in complete control of the chaotic battlefield. Whoever is fighting her will likely end up dead - no other outcome would come to the mind of anyone who catches a glimpse of the brutal red eyes.

But beneath all that cruelty is a sadder realization. This otherwise beautiful lady could've been fighting on the side of good and her abilities would have been a beacon of hope instead of fuel for evil. The ruin of her body has started with her severed limb - slowly but surely the rest of her human features will vanish too.

5 ApneicMonkey

A Sith soldier with a disturbingly awesome looking jaw bone mask is in the middle of a fierce duel with a Jedi Knight in ApneicMonkey's spectacular piece. A dark side Force-user whose body is in a remarkably preserved condition is either an incredibly talented warrior with outstanding defensive skills, who also managed to avoid the Sith's common self-destructive urges or is a formed Jedi that was recently compelled to change his allegiance. Either way, this undeniably troubled youth is a warrior with a compelling backstory.

4 Zachco

Belonging to the same species as Aayla Secura but infinitely more diabolical and better armedzachco's villain is as attractive and stylish as a Sith can be. Her body is scarcely protected, which provides the soldier with a maximum level of flexibility and the protective wear around her head protrusions has heavy spikes. The handle of the lightsaber features metal guards and the searing weapon almost fully resembles a proper medieval sword. If there is one character that can seduce fans to prefer the dark side, it is definitely this one.

3 Rafael Siska

Rafael Siska has come up with a villain that stands out with his elaborately designed armor and unique helmet design.  If it wasn't for the lightsaber in his hand, this master of the Sith arts could have passed for a hero from the Middle Ages with his shiny, grittily dirty armor, stained by age and battles.

The eyeholes of the helmet are shaped so that the mask bears a somewhat sad expression. That coupled with the weak blue shine, emitting from the warrior could raise the question if this particular Sith feels like he is on the wrong side of the Force.

2 WojtekFus

A Sith to fall in love with is created by WojtekFus but as it is the case with every good character - its positive qualities usually define their negative ones. A dark side-using woman with the appearance of a natural-born commander and killer is raising her lightsaber likely in preparation to cut down her next victim. Her gorgeous, unharmed appearance that would ultimately attract many followers to her evil cause proves that she chose the darkness willingly and joined the ranks of the Sith without any opposition, meaning that for all her beauty and powers, her moral compass is beyond repair.

1 Caglayan Kaya Goksoy

A classic example of a human being destroyed by the dark side is visible in this harsh portrait of war by Caglayan Kaya Goksoy. The Sith character in it is fully ravaged by evil, body and soul with scars and wounds covering every inch of him. This is a warrior who has sacrificed everything he has in exchange for ultimate power, marching fearlessly in battle - his appearance proves that no injury can scare the soldier. His miserable existence is not without its delights - he is so powerful in the Force that his lightsaber is levitating. The way the weapon's typical lighting is inversed - the interior of it bears the color, while the periphery is white adds to the villain's uniqueness.
