Following the announcement last month of "Star Wars: Season of the Force," Disney has unveiled new details about the attraction, arriving soon at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.
How soon? For Disneyland, Nov. 16. However, no date has been announced for the Florida resort.
"Season of the Force" will feature: Star Wars Launch Bay, a new area where fans can meet their favorite characters, see special exhibits and get peeks at Star Wars: The Force Awakens; a relaunched "Star Tours -- The Adventures Continue," with a new scene inspired by The Force Awakens; "Hyperspace Mountain," a limited-time reimagining of "Space Mountain," in which guests will join an X-wing battle"; and, coming in December, "Jedi Training: Trials of the Jedi Temple," a new twist on the Jedi Training experience that introduces characters from the animated Star Wars Rebels.
Disney also announced that construction of the 14-acre Star Wars-themed land will result in the temporary closings of Disneyland's Rivers of America and Disneyland Railroad, beginning Jan. 10, and all attractions along their routes.
The expansion will also see the permanent closing of Big Thunder Ranch, including Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue, Big Thunder Ranch Petting Farm and Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree.
