New footage from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker teases a major revelation for Rey, who has served as one of the main protagonists of the sequel trilogy.The clip, which was posted by Star Wars on Twitter, expands on earlier photos of Kylo Ren bathed in a blue light and surrounded by First Order troopers, revealing the source is the Millennium Falcon as Rey jumps aboard. However, the clip also features a narration from Emperor Palpatine, who says, "It is time that she learns her story." In Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Kylo Ren revealed Rey's parentage as having been nothing remarkable, and that she was sold for drinking money. This caused some controversy, as many were expected Rey to be linked to one of the major Star Wars bloodlines. Palpatine's narration seems to imply Rey will learn more about where she comes from in the film, potentially teasing Kylo Ren has having been wrong or lied, though that's unclear at this time.
