Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Releases Dramatic New Images

With the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker approaching like the Millennium Falcon after it makes the jump to hyperspace, several new still from the film have surfaced.

Some of the images, which were released by EW, connect with scenes from past trailers, and they also offer a close  look at two new additions to the franchise: Allegiant General Pryde (Richard E. Grant), a First Order official that works in close proximity with General Hux, and a battalion of deployed snowtroopers armed and marching in battle formation.

Other images include a new look at Rose Tico, Finn and Poe Dameron in the Resistance base, a closeup of Kylo Ren surrounded by Stormtroopers in a hangar, Rey training in a lush jungle planet with a remote, Finn, Chewbacca, Rey and Poe facing an unseen enemy and Finn and Jannah standing on a dry grassy field.

Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. The film arrives December 20.
