The sequel trilogy antagonist stands with his lightsaber drawn, ready for combat. Despite destroying his helmet in The Last Jedi, it has been reconfigured, though the cracks remain visible.

The Rise of Skywalker is the final film in the Skywalker Saga. After setting off on diverging paths, Finn and Rey have finally rejoined to lead the Resistance against the tyranny of the First Order. They will be joined by familiar faces, as well as new allies like fan-favorite Lando Calrissian. Moreover, the nefarious Emperor Palpatine has returned, and Rey's struggle against him, as well as the temptations of the dark side, may prove to be her two greatest challenges yet.
