With the release of its final trailer, the eagerly anticipated Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has finally listed advance tickets online, giving fans the chance to reserve their screenings two months ahead of the film's release.

Within its first hour of going on sale, online ticketing service Atom Tickets has reported that the upcoming Star Wars sequel has already outsold Avengers: Endgame by 45% within the Marvel Cinematic Universe epic's advance ticket sales within its first hour earlier this year. This sets a new overall record for highest number of tickets sold through the service within its first hour of all time.

In its opening weekend this past April, Endgame earned $357.1 million at the domestic box office before earning $2.79 billion in its worldwide theatrical run, surpassing Avatar as the highest-earning film of all time.

With The Rise of Skywalker teasing the culmination of the Skywalker Saga covered by the eight previous main installments in the Lucasfilm franchise, fans are eager to see the final confrontation between the Jedi and Sith for the fate of the galaxy. Atom reports that fans have indicated Episode IX is the most anticipated film for the end of 2019.
