After crossing the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has officially earned $500 million stateside.

Per Forbes, the ninth and final film in the The Rise of Skywalker brought in another $5.36 million over the sixth weekend of its stateside release. This was enough to push the ninth and final film in the "Skywalker Saga" past the $500 million mark at the domestic box office.

So, in addition to being the 46th film in history to earn $1 billion at the worldwide box office, The Rise of Skywalker is also now the 15th movie to cross the $500 million mark in North America alone. The 15th highest-earning film in history domestically, Star Wars: Episode IX comes up just behind 2017's Beauty and the Beast, which enjoyed a gross of $504 million in the States.

As far as actual ticket sales go, the latest Star Wars film is on par with 2016's Finding Dory and 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, which earned $486 million and $317 million at the domestic box office, respectively (which both come out to $501 million when adjusted for ticket price).
